Abstract
This article examines the structural framework, international benchmark competencies, and strategic impact of the Fellowship in Forensic Pathology program at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Designed to train specialized subspecialists "beyond borders," this advanced fellowship program addresses the critical global shortage of highly skilled forensic pathologists capable of navigating modern medico-legal complexities. The paper analyzes the curriculum’s integration of traditional post-mortem techniques with cutting-edge advancements available in 2026, such as virtual autopsies (Virtopsy), digital forensics, molecular pathology, and mass disaster victim identification (DVI) protocols. By fostering transnational academic partnerships, collaborative case reviews, and cross-border research initiatives, the program not only elevates the standard of forensic investigation in Malaysia but also positions UiTM as a pivotal regional hub for global humanitarian forensics, human rights documentation, and international medico-legal excellence.
