Abstract
he program Academic visit to the construction of PERKESO East Coast Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Setiu and road & slope repair works, Batu Rakit, Terengganu by Quantity Surveying students of UiTM Shah Alam serves as an experiential field-learning initiative designed to bridge theoretical construction methods with real-world infrastructure developments. This session focuses on exposing students to specialized project management practices, cost estimation challenges in complex slope stabilization, and safety governance across large-scale institutional and civil engineering sites. By engaging directly with industry experts and inspecting ongoing structural works firsthand, the initiative enhances students' technical competencies and field analysis skills: and it successfully strengthens their professional readiness to address contemporary quantity surveying demands in diverse construction environments.
