Abstract
The program Collaboration between the Faculty of Built Environment (FBE), UiTM Shah Alam and DRB-HICOM, and the launch of the ‘Mangrove forest conservation and sustainability project’ at Banjar Utara forest reserve, Tanjung Karang serves as a high-impact strategic alliance bridging academic research with corporate environmental responsibility. This session focuses on executing targeted mangrove replanting activities, conducting biodiversity mapping, and developing long-term ecological monitoring frameworks at the forest reserve. By uniting university experts and corporate stakeholders in tangible climate action, the initiative enhances local coastal defense mechanisms and sequesters carbon emissions: and it successfully establishes a premier benchmark for public-private partnerships dedicated to wetland restoration and sustainable environmental governance.
