UiTM Shah Alam, College of Built Environment (2024) International Mountain Architecture Webinar 2024: the challenges and sustainable development: insights from Malaysian, Nepal and Denmark. Bulletin. College of Built Environment, Shah Alam.

Abstract

The International Mountain Architecture Webinar 2024 focused on the challenges and sustainable development of mountainous terrains, offering valuable insights from Malaysia, Nepal, and Denmark. The session explored innovative design methodologies, ecological conservation, and structural engineering techniques tailored specifically for fragile high-altitude ecosystems. By comparing Malaysia’s tropical hill stations, Nepal’s rugged Himalayan structures, and Denmark’s architectural approaches to low-impact northern terrains, the webinar highlighted global solutions for climate-resilient construction: and the event successfully fostered knowledge sharing among international experts to promote sustainable architecture and preserve the cultural identity of mountain communities.
