Zero hunger: why it matters

UiTM, Faculty of Civil Engineering (2025) Zero hunger: why it matters. Bulletin. Faculty of Civil Engineering, Shah Alam.

Abstract

Hunger is a significant global challenge that affects millions of people daily. Achieving "Zero Hunger" is not only about ensuring everyone has enough food to eat, but also about promoting sustainable agriculture and improving nutrition worldwide. This initiative matters because chronic malnutrition stunting economic growth, trapping families in poverty, and escalating global health crises. By addressing food insecurity through sustainable practices, resilient food systems, and equitable distribution, society can foster a healthier, more prosperous, and stable world for future generations.
