Abstract
This article documents the implementation and impact of a strategic collaboration between the UiTM Penang Robotics Club and the leading technology industry player, NI (now part of Emerson), in conjunction with the Penang International Science Fair (PISF) 2025 held at SPICE Arena. The two-day volunteer service programme, conducted from 8 to 9 November 2025, involved the active participation of 19 club members, comprising four lecturers and 15 students. This high-impact engagement was driven by three primary objectives: (1) Empowering Community STEM Education through the operation of an interactive exhibition booth themed around digital signal sharing using Data Acquisition (DAQ) devices to stimulate interest among primary and secondary school students; (2) Transferring Practical Technical Skills through demonstrations of engineering applications using LabVIEW software and the myDAQ platform, including modules such as myBridge, myPaint, myMusic, and myLock; and (3) Strengthening Students’ Soft Skills in STEM communication, public event management, and the development of industry-ready graduates. This meaningful synergy further reinforces collaboration between academia and industry in nurturing innovative, competitive, and future-ready engineering leaders.
