Abstract
Nowadays, for those of any entrepreneur that involve themselves in bird nest livestock can get better profit for both of this animal. This is because; in our country there is only having several amount of entrepreneur that involves in bird nest livestock. Edible birds nest are one of the more unusual natural product of Sabah. They are produced by certain species of swallow, small bird which breed in caves or other dark places, often in very large colonies. These nests are highly esteemed for food by the Chinese who consider them great delicacy. Various medicinal properties have been ascribing to the nest and they fetch very high prices on the open market. Trade in edible birds nest from Sabah apparently began sometime in the 18th century, thought there are few records from that period. With the start of British colonial rule the nest harvest came under direct government control, and taxes on nest sales provided a significant source of revenue for the early government. In 1914 the British bird nest ordinance and bird nest rules were passed to regulate the harvest. Other then cave, they have other ways to do this farming, such as using the abandoned building, build a new building at appropriate location. Apart from that, not only Sabah famous in bird nest farming, in Perak also operates this business and get a good respond. In peninsular Malaysia Perak and Kelantan constitute a good country and give a high profit base on this business.
