Abstract
Hosting a visit from an international university provides a critical touchpoint for accelerating both local and international networking opportunities within higher education. This paper examines the strategic value of international institutional visits in fostering academic diplomacy, cross-border research collaborations, and student exchange pipelines. We analyze effective frameworks for structuring these visits, focusing on how local host institutions can engage domestic stakeholders—such as regional industries and local partner colleges—alongside the visiting international delegation. By maximizing the shared space of an international visit, institutions can transform brief campus tours into long-term strategic alliances, joint publication opportunities, and global academic networks that benefit both local and international communities.
