Abstract
Shah Alam, 26th October 2023 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) through College of Computing, Informatics and Mathematics (KPPIM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU). Professor Ts. Dr Haryani Haron, the Assistant Vice Chancellor for KPPIM represented the university in signing the MoU. It is a prestigious collaboration as STOU has a dignified history of being officially established by the Royal Charter as Thailand’s eleventh state university. Furthermore, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) graciously bestowed the university its name in honor of King Prajadhipok (King Rama VII), who once held the title “Prince Sukhothai Thammaracha” prior his accession to the throne. At its founding, STOU was the first university in Southeast Asia to use the distance learning system offering more mediums for learning opportunities.
