Abstract
This study investigates the role and impact of orientation initiatives designed for welcoming FBM postgraduate international students. Adjusting to a new academic and cultural environment poses significant challenges for global students, affecting both their psychological well-being and academic performance. Through a qualitative survey, this research evaluates how structured welcoming programs facilitate smoother cross-cultural adaptation, social integration, and familiarity with institutional resources. The findings indicate that early engagement activities significantly reduce academic anxiety and foster a strong sense of belonging among international scholars. Ultimately, the study emphasizes that comprehensive welcoming strategies are essential for enhancing international student retention and supporting global campus diversity.
