Abstract
This article documents the implementation of the Visiting Professor Programme organised by the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies (FSPPP), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), from 9 to 13 December 2025. The week-long programme featured Distinguished Professor Rahat Munir from Macquarie University, Australia, and successfully brought together approximately 400 participants, including academics, students, and representatives from international institutions in Indonesia and Thailand. This strategic initiative focused on bridging the gap between local administrative practices and global governance trends through keynote lectures on artificial intelligence (AI), ESG imperatives, and the importance of soft skills in the future economy. In addition, the organisation of high-impact publication workshops and personalised consultation sessions effectively stimulated research output and supported the faculty’s performance indicators. The long-term impact of the programme extends beyond strengthening international collaboration and enhancing the university’s global visibility; it also drives curriculum transformation aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG agenda to produce graduates equipped for sustainable governance.
