Abstract

Along with the advancement of today's digital revolution, it is undeniable that technology has become part of the important aspect in shaping the library management. Library administrators must possess a deep understanding of technology to effectively position libraries as main resources within their institutions or communities. However, it's not uncommon for librarians and staff to encounter challenges in embracing new technologies. The rapid evolution of technology has indeed brought significant changes in library workflows and interactions with users. From digital catalog systems to online research databases and virtual reference services, technology has transformed how libraries operate and serve their patrons. In order to thrive in this dynamic environment, library administrators must promote a workplace environment that embraces intellectual openness, innovation and collaboration. Encouraging staff to explore new technologies, share ideas, and experiment with innovative approaches can lead to the development of more effective and efficient library services. Furthermore, administrators should promote mature behaviour and trustworthiness among library staff. This stimulates an environment where individuals feel empowered to take ownership of their work and contribute to the collective goals of the library. Understanding how technology is reshaping the fundamental principles of teaching, learning, and research is crucial for library administrators. By staying alert about emerging trends and technological advancements, administrators can better predict the evolving needs of their user communities and proactively improve library services to meet those needs. Overall, by embracing technology, library administrators can position their libraries as essential hubs of knowledge and learning within their institutions or communities.
