Abstract

Sime Darby Plantation Berhad was formed by three companies merge together in 2007. The three companies are, Sime, Darby and Co. Limited, Guthrie Company and Golden Hope merge together into the vehicle entity named Synergy Drive. However, in November 2007, the Synergy Drive renamed to Sime Darby Berhad. In 2011, Sime Darby had a land bank by 850,000 hectares. The Malaysian government's Employees Provident Fund and the government-run the National Capitalizing Agency (PNB). Besides that, Bank Islam also one of another government-linked company in 2010. In 2007, Sime Darby Berhad come out with subsidiaries where it was Sime Darby Property Berhad and Sime Darby Plantation Berhad on the Bursa Malaysia's Main Market. These subsidiaries were to aim unlocked the value of the companies and provides visibility on each firm's performance.
