Abstract

Mailing system is the system that still available and important to us. Mailbox is important to protect the mail from damaged and avoid missing. The purpose of this project is to develop an Auto Mailbox Notification System using Short Message Services via Motion Sensor(AMNS). It can solve the common problem of the current mailbox where the owner of mailbox doesn’t need to check the mailbox frequently on availability of mail. This research is focus on developing a system by using Internet of Things as a platform. Arduino Uno and related components such as Pi sensor and GSM module used to develop AMNS. AMNS is evaluated used functionality and usability testing method. 50 respondents had participated in the evaluation process. From the feedback received, it shows that the AMNS is useful and able to assist them make their life much more easier as they do not need to go check the mailbox, just need to see their mobile phone. Overall, AMNS is suitable for public to use because it can notifying the mailbox owner about the new mail in the mailbox and will be useful to the community who live or work at residential area or office.
