Home remedy recommendation system for skin wellness

The purpose of this research is to design and develop a Home Remedy Recommendation System for Skin Wellness. This system is able to identify users’ facial skin type and recommend suitable home remedies facial treatment. For each treatment, the system is able to give a guideline on how to prepare he home remedies through video tutorials. Five planes of User Experience (UX) layer is used as a guideline in designing and developing this system. Waterfall Model which consists of analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation phases is chosen as the methodology for this study. The evaluation of the system involves Heuristic Evaluation with three Human Computer Interaction (HCI) experts. The feedback and suggestions from the experts were taken into consideration and refinement of the system is made based on these comments. After system refinement, User Experience Test (UXT) was conducted with thirty participants. The results form UXT clearly indicate that the system is attractive, perspicuity, effective, dependent, stimulate and novel. As a conclusion, the Home Remedy Recommendation System for Skin Wellness has been successfully designed and developed to assist the users in identifying their skin type and recommending suitable home remedy based on users’ skin type.
