Abstract

This study examines the relationship between self-esteem and leadership orientation among 356 Sports Science and Recreation students at Universiti Teknologi MARA Seremban 3. Utilizing a quantitative approach with the Two-Dimensional Self-Esteem Scale and the Multidimensional Leadership Orientations Scale, the research explores gender-based differences and the correlation between these two constructs. The findings aim to fill a literature gap regarding leadership development within Malaysian sports faculties, providing academic insights into how self-perception shapes student leadership potential.
