Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between coaching leadership styles and athlete satisfaction among 254 SUKIPT athletes at UiTM Shah Alam, utilizing Chelladurai’s multidimensional leadership model as a framework. By employing the Leadership Scale for Sports (LSS) and the Athlete Satisfaction Questionnaire (ASQ) in a quantitative survey, the research identifies how specific coaching behaviors, motivation, and emotional support influence the competitive university sports experience. The findings aim to enhance coaching effectiveness and athlete well-being, providing evidence-based insights for the development of Malaysian university sports programs.
