Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations influencing volunteer satisfaction among 114 participants of the Badminton Malaysia Masters 2025. Recognizing volunteers as vital to the success of culturally significant sporting events, the research examines emotional, cognitive, and social satisfaction dimensions through an online survey. Utilizing descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rank-order correlation, the findings provide localized insights into volunteerism drivers, offering evidence-based strategies to optimize volunteer management and retention within the Southeast Asian sporting context.
