Abstract
Effective coaching leadership is fundamental to the performance and development of student athletes in competitive environments like Malaysia’s sports academies. This study utilizes a quantitative design to examine how five key leadership dimensions training and instruction, autocratic behavior, democratic behavior, social support, and positive feedback influence athlete performance among 58 participants at ISEF. By analyzing factors such as psychological skills, preparedness, and injury prevention, the research aims to address the gap in localized evidence regarding preferred coaching styles, ultimately providing strategic insights to optimize training climates and athlete outcomes in Malaysia’s youth sports landscape.
