Abstract
The rapid development of digital technology in this century has significantly influenced various sectors, including education, where technological methods have been widely integrated into teaching and learning at schools. PE teachers play a crucial role in ensuring the effective application of digital technology in teaching and learning processes. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable instrument to assess the digital skills of PE teachers. Additionally, the study attempts to assess and determine the level of digital skills among PE teachers in Selangor. The quantitative study was employed with statistical descriptive and inferential statistics. The mean, CFA, Simple T Test, ANOVA, and MANOVA were employed to analyze the data. The findings reveal the instruments are valid and reliable, and the level of digital skills among the sample was found to be moderately high. Additionally, there were no significant differences in the digital skills levels of PE teachers when analysed across this demographic in Selangor. This indicates a consistent level of digital competency among teachers regardless of their age, geographical location, or gender. The study underscores the importance of considering these factors in formulating government and education policies to enhance the integration of digital technology in PE teaching nationwide. By emphasizing these elements, educational policies can promote equitable access and effective use of digital tools in PE instruction, thus fostering a more inclusive and technologically advanced learning environment across all states.
