Touchpoint: interactive kiosk

This project showcases the design of an interactive kiosk developed for MADAD Kedah, aimed at supporting visitors through simple, meaningful, and culturally familiar engagement. The kiosk features three main interactive elements: a central tablet screen that hosts the MADAD app for activity access and information; a rotating “Dua Pin” that allows users to interact with daily or personalised prayers; and a softly lit reminder box that holds handwritten or printed motivational notes, which users can freely take with them. The kiosk design blends digital interaction with tactile experience, emphasising low-barrier access for elderly individuals who may feel disconnected from technology. Its bold geometric form offers structural clarity while maintaining approachability through soft visual language and thoughtful proportions. The kiosk acts as a bridge connecting emotional warmth with functional use encouraging spiritual reflection, personal connection, and independent engagement within the MADAD community. The final design balances simplicity and symbolism, enhancing the daily experience for visitors at MADAD through gentle interaction and meaningful presence.
