Abstract
This systematic review evaluates the comparative effectiveness of velocity-based load prescription (VBLP) and traditional percentage-based load prescription (PBLP) on strength, hypertrophy, and power adaptations in trained populations. By quantifying differential outcomes and addressing methodological inconsistencies, the study aims to clarify which method better optimizes resistance training performance. The findings provide a comprehensive synthesis of current evidence to guide practitioners toward more precise, evidence-based training recommendations while highlighting critical gaps for future research.
