Abstract
This study utilizes a within-subjects crossover design to investigate the acute effects of a seven-day 16:8 intermittent fasting protocol on the strength and endurance of 20 physically active students at UiTM Seremban 3. By comparing a fasting condition (16 hours of total abstinence from food and drink) against a non-fasting trial, the research evaluates performance changes using a 1RM bench press test for strength and a 2.4 km time trial for endurance. The study addresses a critical research gap regarding how short-term time-restricted feeding impacts non-elite populations, providing clarity on whether such nutritional strategies support or hinder immediate physical performance.
