Abstract

Tradewinds Plantation Berhad is one of the largest oil palm and rubber plantation companies in Malaysia The company is poised to become a global leader in integrated agribusiness as it moves forward into a new and dynamic phase of development in the coming years. Our company can trace its roots back to 1995 when our plantations were managed by TPSSB. On 25 May 2004, Tradewinds (M) Berhad which is our current Holding Company-announced the proposed merger involving fourteen of Tradewinds (M) Berhad’s plantation subsidiary companies with Johore Tenggara Oil Palm Berhad (JTOP). Hence, on 04 October 2005, Tradewinds Plantation Berhad (TPB) was established and the proposed merger was completed about a year later. Pursuant to the merger, the listing status of JTOP was transferred to Tradewinds Plantation Berhad, which made its debut listing on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia on 15 March 2006. Tradewinds Plantation Berhad was delisted in 2013 but remains as one of the largest oil palm and rubber plantation companies in Malaysia.
