Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between social media usage patterns and mental health among 132 student athletes from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Utilizing a Google Form questionnaire incorporating the Social Media Use Scale and the DASS-21 instrument, the research analyzes data from participants registered with UTM’s Sport Excellence Unit to identify psychological trends. By assessing the correlation between digital platform engagement and mental health levels, the findings aim to address gaps in current literature and provide insights into the unique psychological pressures faced by student athletes in the digital age.
