Abstract

This quantitative descriptive study examines the relationship between academic stress, social engagement, and mental health among 84 Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) students. Utilizing a questionnaire-based approach and statistical analysis via Jamovi, the research investigates how heavy workloads and performance pressures contribute to anxiety and burnout while potentially hindering social participation. By exploring these correlations, the study aims to provide evidence for universities to develop comprehensive support systems that foster a balanced academic environment and mitigate student isolation.
