The effectiveness of using year 3 mathematics interactive software in solving mathematical problem at SK LKTP Ulu Dengar

In general, primary school students show a very profound interest in Mathematics. However, the situation changed when they started to learn problem solving questions. They are having difficulties when answering question that usually needs two operations to solve it. Thus, one study is made to solve the problem. The objective of this research is to see the effectiveness in using interactive software Mathematics Year 3 in problem solving Mathematics questions.This research will be carried out on twenty seven Year 3 students of Sekolah Kebangsaan LKTP Ulu Dengar, Kluang, Johor. They will be given one set of pre and post examinations, questionnaires and an interview. From the pre examination result, 10 students failed and none of the students got an A. On the other hand, from the post examination result, only 6 students who failed and 3 students managed to get an A. Based on the questionnaire, min score from the 10 questions that which had been answered by the students is 4.726. This min score is in a positive level. Hence, the questionnaire that had been implemented by the researcher showed that there was a very good development. The third steps for this research is based on the two interviews on six students that have different ability before and after they used the interactive software. Hopefully, the result of this research will help the students to master the problem solving questions. Furthermore, this research also will guide my colleagues to improve their ways of teaching in future.
