Abstract
Pulau Pinang, July 5, 2025 - This visit has provided students with direct exposure to the concepts of design and sustainable construction practices, including the use of passive and active energy strategies, green-certified building materials, and performance monitoring after occupancy. Additionally, students were introduced to the application of forensic engineering methodologies in the management of operations and maintenance of actual facilities. As a result of this visit, students not only linked theoretical knowledge with real industry practices but also gained a clearer understanding of the technical requirements and innovations in the sustainable construction sector. Overall, this program has had a positive impact in terms of enhancing understanding, awareness of sustainability, and students' preparedness to face the challenges of the real job market.
