UiTM Cawangan Perlis dilancarkan sebagai kampus hijau sempena program hijaukan UiTM Cawangan Perlis 2025

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perlis made history with its official launch as a Green Campus during the “Hijaukan UiTM Perlis 2025” program held at Dahlia Multipurpose Hall, UiTM Perlis. The program was jointly organized by the Faculty of Management and Business (FPP), Facilities Management Division, UiTM Green Centre (UGC), and UiTM Perlis Farm Unit, in strategic collaboration with the Perlis State Forestry Department. The initiative involved lecturers and 151 Diploma and Pre-Diploma students from the Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable campus development. The launch was officiated by the Rector of UiTM Perlis and attended by the Director of Perlis State Forestry Department, university executive committee members, forestry officers, and UiTM Perlis academic and administrative staff. This event marks the strategic collaboration between UiTM Perlis and the Perlis State Forestry Department to advance the university’s sustainability agenda and support the 100 Million Trees Planting Campaign 2021–2025 led by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (NRES). As a symbolic gesture, a tree-planting ceremony was held to demonstrate the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability and carbon footprint reduction. The program reflects UiTM Perlis’ vision to be a green, sustainable, and resilient educational institution through the Green Campus Framework, focusing on energy, water, waste, biodiversity, and sustainability education, aligned with SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
