Abstract

Arau, 17 December 2025 – UiTM Perlis officially launched the green campus sustainability festival 2025 and the rubberize tiles tile’ project, officiated by the rector of UiTM Perlis. The event was attended by the campus executive committee, researchers from the sustainable polymer materials group, and students of UiTM Perlis. The festival aimed to promote environmental sustainability practices on campus. Key initiatives included the “say no to plastic and straw 2.0” campaign, the “jom kurangkan sampul” campaign, and the campus 3r program, carried out year-round via recycling collection points at sangkar 3r, anjung siswa. The rubberized tiles project, a collaboration between the sustainable polymer materials group, UiTM green centre, and the facilities management division, transforms waste plastic and rubber into eco-friendly products with potential campus applications. The festival is envisioned as a catalyst for strengthening the green culture at UiTM Perlis, supporting the university’s goal of a sustainable and eco-friendly campus.
