Abstract
H2hold is a water storage product designed to help communities affected by floods. Made from strong, recycled plastic, it is durable, lightweight, and easy to carry, making it ideal for quick distribution during emergencies. When floods happen, many people lose access to clean water. H2hold helps solve this by providing safe water storage with ergonomic handles and a stackable design, which makes it easier to transport and store during rescue operations. Using recycled plastic also makes H2hold environmentally friendly while keeping it strong and long-lasting. The design process included studying disaster relief logistics, how people behave in crisis situations, and how the material performs in harsh conditions. Through testing and prototyping, the product was improved to ensure it meets the needs of fast deployment, hygiene, and easy distribution by NGOs and government agencies. H2hold shows how industrial design can support humanitarian work by combining practicality, sustainability, and mass production readiness. It sets a new standard for emergency water storage by focusing on user needs and environmentally responsible materials, creating a product that is both useful and ethical in disaster management. Overall, H2hold plays an important role in making sure clean water is available to people during flood crises around the world.
