Abstract
Department of Agriculture Tawau officially exist as a separate entity since November 1946. At the initial stage, the Department of Agriculture is also responsible tor the case - animals Cattle company affairs and fisheries. After independence, several departments have been established to assist the Department of Agriculture terms Animal husbandry and fishery. Therefore, the Department of Agriculture will manage the case - Pertanian only. Tawau District is divided into two, namely the Department of Agriculture research center Bukit Tawau and Tawau Quoin. Department of Agriculture is located at Km 4, Jalan Tawau Kuhara PO Box 71. Department of Agriculture is divided into several units namely the Administration Unit, Unit stores, Agricultural Entrepreneur Unit (UT), Quarantine Unit and more. In addition, the Department of Agriculture has two Apas Station and the Station Kuhara Station. Furthermore, the Department of Agriculture Tawau has Taman Kekal Pengeluaran Makanan (TKPM) located at Batu 15, Jalan Apas area of 93.6 hectares. In addition, the Department of Agriculture also operates programs for agricultural development and farmers in Tawau. The Department of Agriculture is also helpful in giving advice and guidance to farmers for more productive smallholder agriculture.
