Curriculum review – "Profesion Peguam Syarie: Pengamalan di Malaysia”

During the briefing to the new DLSA students on Saturday, 7 September 2019 at the Auditorium, Bangunan Pentadbiran Cempaka, the Faculty of Law invited Yang Arif Zulfikri bin Yasoa', the Selangor Syariah High Court Judge to deliver a talk entitled "Profesion Peguam Syarie: Pengamalan di Malaysia "which was the main focus of the program. Yang Arif emphasized on the importance of upholding syariah principles as syariah lawyers, and that the nature and character of syariah lawyers should be at par with their syariah knowledge. Yang Arif also stressed on the importance of ethical values and professionalism, in line with the Dean's welcoming speech. There was also a session with alumni En Abdul Hadi bin Mohamad Salleh and Cik Ainur Rabiatuadawiyah binti Hassim, who discussed the topic of "Guaman Syarie: Profesion yang Tidak Didendang", with the hope that it opens up the minds of students and provides students with greater exposure, especially on the importance and advantages of the syariah legal profession.
