Abstract
The UiTM’s inaugural Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy and Intraoperative Cholangiogram Workshop 2026 was successfully conducted at Hospital Al Sultan Abdullah from 4-5 February 2026. Organised by the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, the programme was led by Dr. Muhammad Ikhwan Mustapha and his dedicated team with substantial support from the faculty. The workshop was a focused, high-impact surgical training programme in Malaysia, bringing together a carefully selected cohort of eight participants from across the country for an interactive, hands-on learning environment with close mentorship to strengthen safe minimally invasive biliary surgery practices.
