Abstract

Personal Budgeting Mobile Application is a handy, easy, and effective appsto improve budgeting skills at the flick of a fingertip, and without and Excel spreadsheet. This application helps the students to track their spending in real time and monetize the money outflow. Currently, most students of UiTM Malacca Jasin Campus do not have any personal financial plan that guide them to manage their own money wisely. Some students manage their finance by preparing weekly expenses checklist in a note book. Personal Budgeting Mobile Application was proposed to help students for budgeting their expenses. Personal Budgeting Mobile Application do not only keep track of the budget but also provides means to analyze expenses via charts. This project is carried out with the purpose to implement Personal Budgeting Mobile Application using three-tier architecture. While, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is used in development of the project. It was used as a guideline for developing the project. There are six phases in Waterfall Model, but for this project it only focusses to three phases. The three phases are requirement analysis, system design and implementation. As a result, a prototype of Personal Budgeting Mobile Application was produced together with documentation of Software Requirement Specification (SRS) and Software Design Documentation (SDD). Storyboard is produced as a guideline while in the development phase. It guided the developer regarding the flow of the system.
