Abstract
This paper is concerned with the prediction of the daily peak value of the load in the power system using Artificial Neural Network (ANN).The objective of this project is to develop a program that could be used to predict the short-term load forecast for year 2007 using the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. 365 data is used in order to perform this model. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) can be a problem solver for the future computing problems. It has an ability to perform task efficiently with a minimum time of determining the results. Furthermore, they can recognize patterns by a given data and generalize those data pattern into a pattern needed with the purpose of achieving a desired target. Thus, the implementation of Artificial Neural Network have been tried out where the quality of decision based on careful analysis of growth patterns is acceptable and accurate to forecast the future demands for year 2007
