Abstract
This paper presents an innovative educational program that is tailored to bridge the gap between mere academic understanding xand practical application of the principles of Islamic finance by its direct engagement with secondary school students. The principal objective is to increase the students' level of understanding of Islamic finance by focusing on its applicability in financial management. The methodology also involved collaboration amongst school students for sharing the fundamental knowledge about Islamic finance with respect to its importance in the everyday financial matters of Muslims. Aerobics, quizzes, icebreaking, and an 'Explorace' were all aligned as a part of this program, having in view an interactive and dynamic learning environment. This program thus equipped secondary school students with early education in buying and selling principles in Islam and prepared them for application and able to share the knowledge to others. Evaluations by means of questionnaires revealed that students had improved in knowledge about Islamic finance and appreciation of Islamic Shariah and its relevance in everyday life. It also developed skills in teamwork, strategic thinking, effective communication, and confidence in making financial decisions. It shows that a stream of academic knowledge could be integrated with practical experiences in Islamic finance to produce students who are well-rounded in their ability to make informed decisions.
