Investigation on optical and electrical properties of tin dioxide (SnO₂) thin film.
[Student Project]
(Unpublished)
Abstract
This study investigates the optical and electrical properties of tin dioxide (SnO2) thin films prepared on glass substrates. The structural, optical transmittance, band gap energy, and electrical conductivity characteristics were systematically analyzed to evaluate their performance as a transparent conducting oxide (TCO). The experimental results demonstrate high optical transparency in the visible spectrum and favorable semiconductor electrical properties, highlighting the material's potential for application in solar cells, optoelectronic devices, and gas sensors.
