The purpose of this research is to study the effectiveness of self clean-up instruction in UiTM Rembau's Medan Selera. Nowadays, cleanliness is an issue in UiTM Rembau’s Medan Selera. It has definitely affect each and every student whom usually have their daily meal there negatively due to the unhygenic environment.
This research has applied a qualitative method that uses in depth-interview, with open-ended and semi structured questions. We have interviewed UiTM Rembau students according to the research questions and research objectives. The results and discussions of this study are presented based on the stated research questions.
Based on the suggestions given by the informants, the researcher recommends that the existent instruction in UiTM Rembau’s Medan Selem needs to be changed in order for it to become more effective, and also to ensure a cleaner environment in Medan Selera. Researchers recommends that the instructions should meet students expectations as they are the ones that will be viewing, read, and to follow the instructions.
As a conclusion, an effective instruction is important to ensure a cleaner environment in UiTM Rembau's Medan Selera. Our mess should be our own responsibility and shouldn't be done by the cleaner nor others. If all the students follow the self-clean up instruction, the environment in UiTM Rembau’s Medan Selera will become clean and students will feel more comfortable to eat and spend their time in Medan Selera.
