Abstract

This study discusses the need to enhance more effective teaching methods of recognizing musical notation in the method of using flashcard while playing. Through the perspective of teachers teaching music theory music education is a very important element for providing a clearer understanding to students for learning music, especially recorder, singing and playing musical instruments. This study outlines some of the issues and problems in practice and the implementation of music education curriculum in selected schools and its relationship with the music teacher education program. Hence, this study brings to focus the discussion on two major challenges that need to be addressed to ensure the continued relevance of the subject of music education in the face of changing times and the future of society in the era of globalization. In summary, this paper gives some suggestions to improve the curriculum and teaching practices available for music educators action and the parties involved in the implementation of music education in primary schools.
