Abstract

Internet is a collection of interconnected computer networks that spans the globe. This decentralized “network of networks" is connected using a combination of communication system such as a phone lines, fiber optic cables, coaxial cables and satellites. Besides email, chat rooms, message boards, games, and free software, there are thousands of indexed databases containing all sorts of facts figures, review, and options. Today the Internet is accessible to anyone with personnel computer and a communication line. The fastest growing part of the Internet is the World Wide Web, which is the most graphically inviting and easily navigable section of the Internet. The World Wide Web or simply “the web” consist of interconnected system of sites, or places, all over the world that can store information in multimedia form-sounds, photos, video, as well as text. The sites share a form consisting of a series hyperlinks that connects similar word and phrases.
