Abstract

The issues of meal choice is getting more critical especially among the younger age groups. Failure to address its importance will eventually led to unhealthy living and thus becoming liabilities to the nation. This paper attempts to investigate the relationship between knowledge of balance diet, eating habit, and environment issues as related to meal choices among university students in the state of Terengganu. For further exploration the examination on differences were analyzed for understanding similarities or differences. A total of 580 samples were captured through quota sampling to provide an insight of the research issues. The result of the investigation revealed that all the three predictors were linearly significant to be associated with the meal choice. However further analysis through multiple regression demonstrated that eating habit among the students need further exploration as it is not stable to be a predictor.
